Can students create an effective bioreactor system to grow algae and use it as an alternative fuel source? This project aims to investigate possible solutions to some major environmental issues.
This project intends to design and produce a closed bioreactor tank system, 3D printed for sustainability. Different algae species will initially be grown and oil extracted to ascertain which species is the most effective biofuel producer. The aim is also to build/source a go-kart so the students can test out their biofuel. sustainability.
